So, you want to be a General Manager in the age of social marketing. Ten years ago a fax machine was a luxury. Now, you can't use the restroom without your iPhone or Blackberry. 2011 has arrived, your tweeting away and your station is still standing. More than a few cuts in the past two years, no gas trade for the personal vehicle and an automated shift here and there helped get you through. You did what you had to do to make it work and you weathered the storm of "the worst recession since the depression."

Rush Top Talent on Talkers Big List....Again

Michael Harrison and his crew have names Rush Limbaugh the top talker for the 6th year in a row. Before 2006, Talkers would list alphabetically, not in numerical order. Talkers Magazine has been publishing the list since 1995. It was only 25 names in year one, 75 talkers were added in year two and it's been 100 ever since.

Radio Disney Set to Debut Format for Kids 2-7.

Radio Disney Junior, a music block designed for kids age 2-7, will debut Monday (12:00 noon-1:00 p.m., ET) on Radio Disney, coinciding with the launch of Disney Junior on Disney Channel and Disney.com. Its new Radio Disney Junior block will feature an expanded roster of music and artists appealing to young kids, plus fun "audio theater" with Disney Junior characters. DJ Hallie is the host of the Radio Disney Junior block, airing weekdays.
