We will not get to see Howard Stern at the trial of Cleveland morning man Shane French after all. French had Stern on the witness list after he was charged with four misdemeanors stemming from a 4th of July incident where he was accused of shooting fireworks in the direction of a boater. French has agreed to a deal that calls for one year of probation, a $750 fine and restitution to one of the victims, which turned out to be an off-duty police officer. There was no indication why French planned to call Stern to the stand for his trial.

If you listened to his show or called him to comment, you would know why Stern was on the list. The Police Officer made a ludicrous claim that Stern offered him $50,000 for his story. Rover was going to call Stern to refute the lie.
