It was announced by FOX, Cumulus, and Dick Clark Productions that a new awards show called The American Country Countdown Awards show will take place in Nashville on December 15. The two-hour event will be broadcast live on FOX-TV. The awards show is being touted as a "two-hour live concert event, honoring the year's best country music." The first-ever "NASH Icons" award will also be presented.
