Carter's Station App Catching On.

Carter Broadcasting in Kansas City says its station app (created by Kickanotch) has been downloaded by 55,000 users across 100 countries. The app has only been in use for 140 days. "Our mobile apps have become the lifeline for connecting our stations with our mobile listeners. Serving awesome mobile content allows us to engage our user community from anywhere in the world, with the most entertaining and user-friendly mobile features," said Cristina Shell, CBG interactive director.

Kickanotch  says CBG's listeners are now using the app nearly 60 minutes every day, thanks to features such as:
- Streaming and Interactive Podcasts: audio and video content that provides instant, on-demand entertainment
- Live DJ Chat (Jamz Connect): on-air interaction with the radio DJ that allows listeners to request songs and "chat" with other users
- Daily Deals: local daily deals sent to the users' phone, simply by texting "KPRS" to 89686
- Social Media: social media engagement features with quick and easy access to the stations' social sites
- Music Now!: wake up instantly to the radio via alarm clock anytime
- Events Now (Jamz Now): calendar to track contests, events, concerts, celebrity meet-and-greets and listener promotions
- Shopping Barcode and QR Code Scanner: app feature that allows listeners to compare prices on millions of products and scan QR codes for exclusive content
