Clear Channel's Meg Stevens To Receive MIW Award

Stevens is the Operations Manager for Clear Channel's nine stations in Washington and Baltimore. She began her radio career at WAQX in Syracuse in 1988 and remained in the market until 2001, when she moved to Cleveland to program WGAR and WMJI.  After five years in that role, she headed south to program Clear Channel's WMZQ and WPOC.  She was promoted to her current position last month.

Senior Vice President of Programming & Marketing at Take On the Day/The Dr. Laura Program Corinne Baldassano said, ?We had some outstanding candidates who were recommended for this prestigious honor. Meg is an accomplished veteran in the programming side of the radio business who continues to set and raise the bar for the rest of the industry. She was the perfect choice to receive this distinguished honor.? The MIW Radio Group Achievement in Programming Award is designed to encourage the advancement of women in programming and to reward and recognize those who have achieved success in the field. Stevens will be awarded the MIW Achievement in Programming Award at the 2011 Radio Show next week in Chicago.
