Anderson Inks Deal With Hogan

The employee moves at radio's top two companies continues. Some leave in disgust. Some are nudged out given an opportunity to resign with a little dignity. Others are just shown the door, handed their box of wall plaques and, perhaps, a little soup money to keep them going until the next gig comes along. Anderson will move from Cumulus to Clear Channel, having spent 5 minutes on the beach, and John Hogan says he's happy as a clam.

Anderson was most recently at the Citadel network, then with Cumulus for a short time as Lew Dickey moved to put his own stamp on his new toys. Anderson will take over the West Region for Clear Channel. He gets the Sr. V.P title and will lead programming strategy initiatives. Clear Channel Radio President John Hogan said ?We are thrilled to have Carl join the Clear Channel team. He joins a growing number of the best and brightest programmers, on-air talent and researchers on Clear Channel?s incredible team.?

Anderson has spent the past 22 years as an executive in broadcast, working in all aspects of the radio industry including on-air talent, music director, production director, news director and program director.  Most recently he was the Senior Vice President of Programming and Distribution at Citadel Media, where he served as the company?s top programming strategist and led efforts to develop compelling content for affiliates, advertisers and listeners.  He oversaw a portfolio with more than 4,000 affiliates reaching 121 million weekly listeners.  Anderson started at Citadel in 2006 as the Vice President of Music Programming.
