Salem is predicting Q1 2012 revenue will increase to $51.2 Million after reporting that Q4 2011 revenue jumped nearly 7% to $57.1 Million. Inside those numbers, broadcast revenue (Salem owns or operates 96 stations) increased 2.8% and Internet revenue increased 37.1%. The Salem Q4 Internet revenue went from $5.9 Million to $8.1 Million. For the year (2011), Internet revenue increased 35.8% to $27.3 million from $20.1 million.
Salem is the largest commercial U.S. radio broadcasting company that provides programming targeted at audiences interested in Christian and conservative opinion radio content, as measured by the number of stations and audience coverage. Upon completion of all announced transactions, the company will own and/or operate a national portfolio of 96 radio stations in 37 markets, including 60 stations in 22 of the top 25 markets.
