Emmis CEO Jeff Smulyan says he is starting to see some bounce back at POwer 106 in Los Angeles after the departure of long-time morning man Big Boy to iHeartMedia in that market. He says it's too early to tell how things will eventually play out and he's very confident in his management team, lead by GM Val Maki. "We've been doing this for 35 years. The (iHeartMedia) did a good job. They have Big Boy now and we knew this would be tough when they launched (REAL 92.3) with no commercials. This story will be interesting to watch and will be better told six months from now or one year from now. We've seen the start of a bounce back and I feel good about my team."
