Alpha Media's radio empire continues to grow. On Friday, the Portland-based company closed on four radio stations in Texas: KLLL-FM and KONE-FM in Lubbock, KBTE-FM in Tulia, and KMMX-FM in Tahoka. The seller was Wilks Broadcasting and the purchase price was $23 million. Michael Bergner of Bergner & Company served as the exclusive broker to Wilks.
Larry Wilson, chairman of Alpha Media, said: "We are fortunate to be able to follow respected and experienced broadcaster Jeff Wilks and to have the opportunity to build upon the strong foundation he and his great Lubbock team have built with this outstanding radio cluster."
