Cumulus Media announced that it has appointed 36-year radio veteran Gary Mertins as Vice President/Market Manager for the company's four-station cluster in Melbourne, FL. Mertins joins Cumulus from West Virginia Radio Corporation, where he served as Market Manager for their four-station group in Morgantown, WV, since 2005. He replaces Hugh McPherson, who held the role for less than a year. McPherson exited for an opportunity outside of radio.
