With advertising revenue increasing an impressive 31% to $245.7 million in the 3rd quarter, Pandora posted an overall revenue gain of 30%, to $311.6 million. Local advertising revenue - where Pandora comes after radio - was up 52% to $63.5 million. Mobile revenue grew 36% to $255 million. On the flipside, Pandora paid $211 million in content acquisition costs, that was $100 million more than Q3 of 2014. The company lost nearly $86 million in the quarter, compared to about $2 million in Q3 of 2014. After the first 9 months of this year Pandora has lost $150 million, compared to $42 million in 2014.
