Just before releasing its earning today, Pandora announced it struck a deal with a coalition of independent and major record companies on pre-1972 recordings. Pandora will shell out $90 million to put this issue to rest. The settlement is between Pandora and ABKCO Music & Records, Capitol Records, Sony Music Entertainment, UMG Recordings and Warner Music Group.
