At the age of 83, Ed Walker has been host at WAMU (Washington D.C.) since 1990. According to the station's website, about 70,000 fans tune in every Sunday night to hear the tales of Johnny Dollar, the witticisms of Our Miss Brooks, the Wild West stories of Gunsmoke, and a variety of other shows. Walker, who was born blind, is retiring due to health reasons; he's been diagnosed with cancer and wants to spend more time with his family.
