Ingstadt Picks Up Station's Townsquare Couldn't

12 stations in the Tri-Cities and Yakima have been picked up by Jim Ingstad for a little under $7 Million. Ingstad runs Radio Fargo Moorhead, a group of six stations in Fargo and Moorhead, Minn. Townsquare, which owns stations in both the Tri-Cities and Yakima, offered $6 million nearly a year ago to purchase the New Northwest stations. But the FCC wound up rejecting Townsquare?s plan to spin off excess stations into a third-party trust.

The stations in the Tri-Cities are: KUJ-FM, a Top-40 hits station; Country KIOK-FM, Classic Rocker KEGX-FM, taker KTCR-AM, Top-40 KKSR-FM, and KALE-AM, a FOX Sports affiliate. The Yakima stations are: Country KXDD-FM, Top-40 KRSE-FM, ESPN affiliate KJOX-AM, Oldies KARY-FM, news station KBBO-AM and KHHK-FM, a CHR format.
