Former KGO Hosts Land With Clear Channel

Clear Channel San Francisco says former KGO talker Gene Burns will get an afternoon shift on the re-worked Newstalk 910 AM starting January 3rd.  Newstalk 910 AM was previously positioned as Fox News Radio. The new station will be anchored in mornings by Armstrong and Getty. Len Tillem will now host the 3PM hour.
The Bay Area?s Newstalk 910 (910 AM) Line-Up effective January 3, 2012:
6-9 a.m.                                The Armstrong & Getty Show
9 a.m.-noon                          To Be Announced
noon-3 p.m.                          The Tom Sullivan Show
3-4 p.m.                               The Len Tillem Show
4-7 p.m.                               The Gene Burns Program

Clear Channel also plans to freshens up KNEW in San Fran. A new KNEW-AM lineup will debut after the holidays The station will become 960 KNEW ? Opinions. Finance. Advice. Clear Channel says the station will feature an updated line-up and will present opinions from both sides of the political spectrum as well as personal and financial advice. 

Making reference to the changes at KGO perhaps, San Francisco Director of Operations Don Parker said ?Recent changes in the talk radio market gave us the opportunity to adjust our plans for 960 KNEW. We are excited to broaden 960 KNEW?s position to appeal to a wider variety of Bay Area listeners.?
