Lousiville Radio Legend Bill Bailey Dies

Bailey was known as the Duke of Louisville. He died Saturday morning at a nursing home where he had been living since he had a stroke in 2003. He was 81. Bailey was a regular on Kentucky's airways in the 60s and 70s. He did mornings on WKLO and WAKY and went on to Chicago to work for a year before returning to Louisville. Bailey worked at WAKY and WCII until 1987, when he moved to Baltimore. Bill Bailey?s real name was William Boahn. A visitation for Bailey will be held tomorrow. His funeral will follow immediately.
