Hubbard Dismisses Chicago Market Manager

4-14-14

Robert Feder was the first to report the firing of Jerry Schnacke in Chicago. Despite a revenue increase of 10 percent and Schnacke being "personally beloved by everyone inside the stations and in the marketplace," according to Hubbard Executive VP and CEO Drew Horowitz, he was let go because the company wanted to get a fresh set of eyes on the Hubbard stations. Schnacke told Feder, ?The company wanted a new direction, and they wanted somebody else to do it.? Schnacke has worked in Chicago radio for 17 years and was nominated for a Radio Ink Radio Wayne Award in 2013 by the Hubbard corporate office.
