Arbitron reported third quarter revenue of $105.6 million an increase over Q3 of 2010 of 6.1%. Third quarter net income increased 35.5%. And the company stood by 2011 earnings guidance of 6-8%. The revenue increase was attributed to commercializing the Portable People Meter into new markets during the fourth quarter 2010 and price increases on existing customers.
When asked about the progress on getting Cumulus back as a customer, the company says they are still in Dialogue with the industry's number two company (in terms of stations) but would not comment any further on where those negotiations stand.
