Atlanta's 12 Strangest Radio Stories

Lists are always fun to read. In fact we have an entire issue of lists coming up in December. Columnist Rodney Ho has been writing about Atlanta radio for the Atlanta Journal Constitution for ten years now. And in celebration of his anniversary he decided to compile a list of his own.

He's witnessed the rise of top 40 Q100 and the Gospel station Praise, the fall of 99X and deaths of Lite 94.9, Smooth Jazz 107.5 and 96rock. He's witnessed syndicated shows like Rickey Smiley, Elvis Duran and Steve Harvey pop up in the city. He's reported on plenty of big radio stories but decided in celebration of his ten years here covering radio he'd compile the 12 most unusual radio stories in Atlanta. He says "some are sad, some are funny, some are just plain odd." And, we thought you'd enjoy reading them.
