John Laton is pulling no punches when it comes to taking swipes at his former company. After walking out on Clear Channel last week Laton is already back on the job, now with Adelante. Laton says, ?When I resigned I was planning on taking some time off to figure out what to do next. The first call I got was from Adelante?s CEO Jay Meyers who was actually the person who hired me at Clear Channel to ask if I?d like to talk about Milwaukee."
"He told me about what he and Ed were building and I knew right away that it was the company for me. I actually get to go to work every day and use my best judgment. My input will not only be respected, but as importantly, expected in this company?s culture. For the first time in a very long time, I will be in control of my own destiny. It?ll be my ball, my bat and my butt and I wouldn?t want it any other way. I look forward to working with Ana Bermudez and the great staff at Adelante Milwaukee.?
Meyers commented ?I?m literally thrilled to have John Laton join Adelante as part of the senior management team. He is a difference maker and a game changer for our Milwaukee group and his input as a member of our senior team will make us a better company. I know he really wanted to take some time off, but when I offered him the chance to trade in his John Deere for a cold Miller Light and a couple of Brats, I think it was too much to pass up. If you are brilliant at what you do, and want to work for a company that will respect and nurture your talents, that opportunity still exists. It?s at a company called Adelante Media Group.
