Atlantic Broadcasting Sells 5 Stations for $4 Million Atlantic Broadcasting filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year after racking up about $8 million in debt. Former GM Brett DeNafo was arrested in October and charged with stealing $175,000 from the company. They own news-talk station WOND-AM, Spanish station WBSS-AM, classic hits WTKU-FM, Top 40 WTAA-FM and classic rocker WMGM-FM 103.7. If approved today by the bankruptcy court, Wednesday’s sale will be the third transfer of ownership of the stations since owner Howard Green died in 2002. |

Former Pittsburgh DJ Pleads Guilty to Possession of Child PornAccording to the www.vindy.com in Youngstown, OH long-time Y-103 morning show host faces up to a decade in prison after pleading guilty in federal court to possession of child pornography. The online edition of the paper says " 55 year old William Kennedy pleaded Tuesday to one count of the pornography charge, which brings with it the possibility for up to 10 years is prison and a fine of up to $250,000." |

After 3 Decades of Management, Dennis Collins Retires. Lincoln Financial Media says Dennis Collins, Senior VP/General Manager of LFM's Miami radio cluster, will retire from the company after three decades of service. He has supervised operations at adult contemporary WLYF-FM, classic hits WMXJ-FM and sports talk WAXY-AM. Collins joined what was then Jefferson-Pilot Communications as General Sales Manager of WGBS and WLYF in 1981. He was promoted to Vice President/General Manager in 1984 and elevated to Senior VP/GM nine years later |
