Citadel Birmingham has now filled 10 semi-trucks full of emergency supplies and delivered them to the hardest hit by recent tornadoes. The Citadel staff has been working around the clock since the tornadoes hit. More than 50 Citadel employees in Birmingham gave up their entire weekend to help more than 200 listener volunteers sort and load trucks. Thousands of listeners have dropped off supplies non-stop for four days. |

It's our job to help our local community when a natural disaster strikes. We stay on the air, at times risking our own lives to make sure everyone else receives the information they need to stay safe. Now, one of our own needs our help. Cox/Birmingham employee Chris Coleman was on the air at WBHK 98.7 KISS-FM Wednesday afternoon when he realized a mega-tornado was headed straight for his house. Can you imagine the horror for Coleman, knowing two daughters were home alone, racing for the basement? The family had practiced a tornado drill that morning, just in case. |

The Bonneville sale of 17 stations in four markets (Chicago, DC, St. Louis and Cincinnati) Hubbard Broadcasting closed this past Friday. It was a $505 million deal. The stations in the deal are: WARH, WIL and WXOS/St. Louis; WDRV, WILV, WTMX and WWDV/Chicago; WTOP, WFED, WWWT, WTLP, WBHQ, and WWFD/Washington; and WKRQ, WREW, WUBE, and WYGY/Cincinnati. Hubbard Radio President Ginny Morris becomes chair of the newly formed Hubbard Radio. |

A former local radio personality from Eau Claire is facing charges once again. Bruce Moores, a registered sex offender, allegedly posted flyers around the UW-Eau Claire campus. Those fliers offered women 40 dollars an hour if they would model for him. A college student replied to the ad, and says she ended up being videotaped having sexual contact with Moores. |

Every year for a quarter-century, tens of thousands of Christians and Jews have gathered there under the notorious "Arbeit Macht Frei" sign to march two miles from Auschwiz to Birkenau, the largest concentration camp complex built by the Nazis during World War II. |
