On Friday we reported that Cumulus had come to an agreement with Merlin Media investors to purchase WKQX and WLUP in Chicago. Crain's Chicago Business reports that Matt Dubiel is threatening to interfere with the deal. Dubiel, who has rights to the Q101 brand and operates a website linked to it, said he had an agreement with Merlin that the WKQX call letters wouldn't be switched back to 101.1. ?We don't want to be part of any deception to the listeners or the advertisers,? Dubiel told Crain's If Cumulus wants to do something together, there's a right way to do it.?
