According to Triton Digital, since the beginning of 2014 overall audio listening Monday through Friday (6A-8P) has increased 11.9 percent and Monday through Sunday (6A-Mid) 13.6 percent. For the month of April, listening showed a modest increase over March with Monday through Friday (6A-8P) up 1.6 percent and Monday through Sunday (6A-Midnight) up 3.9 percent. The Country format showed the biggest jump in April up 7.7 percent. The top markets were L.A., up 8 percent, followed by Minneapolis/St. Paul, up 7.7 percent, and Philadelphia jumping 5.1 percent.
