Will Private Equity Invest In Radio?

The Private Equity View Of Radio

Where are the growth prospects for independent radio companies, and can they compete with larger, better capitalized entities? With little money being invested in radio, the viewpoint of those who are investing becomes critical to bringing new funding into radio. Where do private equity firms see opportunities? And how long will it take for lenders to begin issuing new loans to buyers?
We will be addressing these and other issues at Radio Ink's Forecast, the annual event designed to help broadcasters enter the new year with current information and predictions about the state of the industry. This session on the state of private equity in radio will be led by moderator Elliot Evers.

Moderator: Elliot Evers, Managing Director of Media Venture Partners, has been involved with the communications industry for nearly 30 years, from beginning his career as an intern with KPFA-FM/Berkeley to practicing communications law in DC to co-founding Media Venture Partners in 1987. He oversees MVP's radio and TV brokerage practice, initiating several hundred successful station sales with a total value of over $3 billion. He's a sought-after speaker and moderator at industry events.
