First The Arrest. Now The Videos.

First The Arrest. Now The Videos.

Former Air America host Nicole Sandler tells Radio Ink she's "had a rough couple of days". Her face has been splattered all over the national news after she was ejected, cuffed and arrested from a town hall meeting Tuesday night. And now, of course, there's a video of exactly what happened. Actually there are several videos. And, as expected in an overly connected world, the 48-hour follow-up has been played out all over Twitter, Facebook and Sandler's Blog. There's a video shot by Sandler who says she was only trying to have a back-and-forth with Congressman Allen West. And then there's the video shot by a few media outlets as she's taken into custody by the local authorities.

Chips Belong in Phones. Just Put Them In!

Chips Belong in Phones. Just Put Them In!

There has been a lot of debate about whether or not FM Chips are needed - or wanted - in cell phones that continue to roll off assembly lines all across the United States. It seems the best reason to have them in our phones is in case of an emergency. And emergencies happen all the time, especially weather related emergencies. That's when radio shines. Nobody argues that fact. The latest to chime in is Greater Media Chief Executive Officer Peter Smyth.

How Managers Can Get More Done in Less Time.

Recent studies have shown multi-tasking is not effective. Yes you can walk and chew gum, however, there are limits to balancing multiple tasks, texting while driving, answering cell calls in meetings... I question how this furious activity impacts productivity. Concentration is the key. Could it be that it is not only what we do but what we choose NOT TO DO, that delivers results. Here's Coach Paul Anovick with time management tips for managers
Great Jim Mandich Radio Story

Great Jim Mandich Radio Story

As everyone has read by now Miami Dolphin broadcaster Jim Mandich passed away Tuesday after a battling cancer. Mandich really brought the Dolphins games to life for those who listened on the radio in South Florida. He was a Dolphins homer, but once you got over that, he sure could be entertaining. The letter below appeared on the Sun Sentinel website last night. There was no return e-mail address to get in touch with the author, however it's such a great story we thought everyone would like to read it.

Why Good Salespeople Are Mediocre Sales Managers

Why Good Salespeople Are Mediocre Sales Managers

We've all done it. Promoted a good salesperson, often our best, to sales manager. My files are full of cases where the results were below expectations for everyone involved. Managers are often disappointed with the lack of results, and the sales managers are confused and frustrated with the lack of achievement of their teams.
