Community Buys Four in South Carolina

Community Broadcasters has purchased four stations from Glory Communications in Columbia, South Carolina. Community owns 16 stations in Elmira/Corning, Olean, Ogdensburg and Watertown, NY. In September, they purchased 12 more stations, 7 translators and 3 TV construction permits in Florence, Sumter and Orangeburg, South Carolina from Miller Communications. The purchase from Glory brings Community Broadcasters' total holdings to 42 signals. Doug Ferber of Defcom Advisors brokered the sale. Community Broadcasters is owned by Bruce Mittman and Jim Leven.
