The original sale announcement was made on September 21 and part of it has now closed. Kirby Confer and Donald Alt's Forever Media officially owns WGTY-FM which it purchased for $4.25 Million from the Times and News Publishing Company. WGET-AM was also part of the original announcement but has not closed yet due to some engineering problems. Michael J. Bergner of Bergner & Co., was the exclusive broker in the transaction.
