Of course, that's just his base salary, not including bonuses and stock options. Liggins is eligible for a bonus up to an amount equal to his base salary and comprised of two factors. The first, equaling 50% of the award, is based on the achievement of pre-established individual and Company performance goals. The second component, equaling the balance of the award, is determined at the discretion of the compensation committee. Liggins was not paid a bonus in 2011. He was granted options to purchase 1,150,000 shares of Class D common stock as well as 300,000 restricted shares of Class D common stock.
Radio One founder Cathy Hughes makes $750,000 per year. Her employment agreement also provides for an annual cash bonus at the discretion of the board up to a maximum of $250,000. Hughes was granted options to purchase 600,000 shares of Class D common stock as well as 150,000 restricted shares of Class D common stock.
