Saga CEO Ed Christian says we are in a period of moderate sluggish growth. And, he says, "I'm afraid we're going to be in it for quite some time. Not only as an industry but as a country." Saga reported a Q2 revenue increase of 2.6 percent. National was slightly stronger than local. In 2012 Saga took in over $700K of political advertising revenue compared to $172K in Q2 of 2013. Christian admits Q3 will be a challenge after the company took in $1.5 million in political and finished July down in the low single digits. August and September are also pacing down.
