He took a nice shot at Cumulus during his first day on the air, otherwise it was a long list of well-wishers for the New York City radio icon. Shannon told his new audience he was happy to see all the desks occupied at CBS, "because where I used to work (WPLJ-FM), they pretty much cleared out the whole place."
