Michaels was most recently at Clear Channel's KDMX-FM and KDGE-FM, also in Dallas, where he was PD. Michaels (pictured) will report to Senior VP/Market Manager for CBS Radio Dallas-Ft. Worth Brian Purdy, who said KVIL is on a new, strategic path. ?We?re entrusting Jay with these iconic call letters. I?m confident that he will build upon the foundation which has been laid by Ron Harrell (CBS Radio Dallas-Fort Worth vice president of music programming), who can now focus exclusively on KLUV and Jack FM. In addition to programming KDMX-FM and KDGE-FM in Dallas, Michaels has also worked as operations director for WROX-FM and WUSH-FM in Norfolk. He has also worked in Los Angeles (KYSR-FM), Houston (KRBE-FM), and Austin, Texas (KHFI-FM and KDHT-FM).
