L&L/Bluefield's WHAJ Wins WVBA Station of the Year

3-11-14

L&L Broadcasting's stations in Bluefield, WV have picked up several West Virginia Broadcasters Association awards, including Station of the Year for WHAJ-FM (J104). Clustermate WKOY-FM took honors for Promotion of the Year for "Whitetails for Warriors," while WHIS got the prize for Best Talk Show for Radio Active.  The WVBA awards weren't broken down by market size, so the L&L outlets were up against stations from all across the state.

L&L Director/Programming Scott Mahalick said, "It's great to see the outside recognition for the amazing and creative radio our team produces out of Bluefield, WV. We're proud and honored to be representing live and local radio at its finest."

L&L/Bluefield VP/Market Manager Danny Clemmons added, "It is a real blessing to have a programming staff that goes the extra mile to put out a great product. Here in Bluefield, we have such a staff. I am really proud of their accomplishments, and it was a very special night getting to watch them go up onstage and accept these high honors."
