Gallagher: 'We've Stopped Something Terrible From Happening'

Salem Radio Networks' Mike Gallagher spoke to Radio Ink about his decision -- controversial in some circles -- to give the Westboro Baptist Church a forum on his show this morning in return for the group's agreement not to picket the funerals of the Tucson shooting victims. Gallagher says, "To do this kind of a deal has prevented them from hurting these six families, and for that I'm very proud."

Canadian Stations Defy 'Money For Nothing' Ban

Classic Rockers K-97 in Edmonton, AB, and NewCap sister Q104/Halifax, NS, are risking the wrath of the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council, with both stations planning to spend a full hour Friday evening airing Dire Straits' "Money for Nothing." The CBSC recently ruled that the unedited song, which contains the word "faggot," is too offensive for the Canadian airwaves.
