Kantar: Ad Spending Up 6.4% Through Q3

Overall ad spending in the U.S. rose by 6.4 percent through the first nine months of 2010, to $94.1 billion, Kantar Media reports. Spending in Q3 was up 8.7 percent. Radio spending rose 6.2 percent over the same period.

Iheartradio, Total Traffic Extend Their Reach

Clear Channel Radio previews some of its Consumer Electronics Show announcements, saying the mobile platform will be integrated into in-dash multimedia navigation systems through a partnership with Rosen Entertainment Systems, while at home, it will become part of iHome's iHome+Sleep app and its app-enhanced clock radios. CCR's Total Traffic Network also has news, announcing a new platform and partnership.

Bubba The Love Sponge debuts on subscription service RadioIo, with a stream rebroadcasting his terrestrial show plus half a dozen music channels. The former Sirius XM personality told the Hollywood Reporter that the satcaster asked him to take an 80 percent pay cut.

Ted Williams, the homeless man whose appearance in a video produced by the Columbus Dispatch had him showing off his impressive radio pro's voice, has multiple job offers after an appearance on Clear Channel's WNCI/Columbus, OH. But one report says Williams' lack of ID is blocking him from an important non-job-related goal.
