The Scene From Connecticut

2-14-13

Connoisseur Market Manager Kristin Okesson shows us just how bad it is outside the stations (WFOX, WEZN, WPLR, WYBC). It was only a year ago the area was hit with 36 inches of snow so Okesson  says her team was prepared for this. "We continue to do what we do best which is to serve our listeners all the necessary information that they need to know, regardless of the fact that we are music intensive stations.  Our four stations cover four metros and all metros are being affected by this storm in a big way.  This team truly just knows how to shine in these emergency situations as we have been tested quite a lot in the last few years."

The  Connoisseur  is working with WFSB Channel 3 which has opened up their studio providing full live weather coverage with the state's top meteorologists. Okesson says, "I continue to say it to all of my radio friends, stop the competitive nonsense and forge a strong relationship with the best TV station and that's what we have here.  So in addition to weather coverage and the constant live updates with our jocks, we also have access to their news team if we need it. Although storms are never fun we really take pride in the work we do here to cover it comprehensively and we take our service to the community very seriously."
