nielsen-logoPPM Data – Round One. Information for the October 2016 ratings period has been released for New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Nassau-Suffolk (Long Island), Riverside, San Jose, and Middlesex-Somerset-Union. Nielsen Audio's October 2016 survey period covered September 8 (the first game of the NFL season) – October 5. RadioInfo managing editor Mike Kinosian (Kinosian@RadioInfo.com) provides his "Takeaways" from these 12-PPM markets.
TWELVE TAKEAWAYS
1) New York – Up by one-tenth each in back-to-back sweeps (2.9 – 3.0 – 3.1, 6+), CBS Radio sports outlet WFAN "The Fan" wskqimproves by six-tenths to 3.7, its best 6+-showing since May's 3.8. The flagship of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants escapes September's three-way tie at #12 and enters the top ten (#10). Moving from sixth to fifth, Spanish Broadcasting System Spanish tropical WSKQ (4.7, +.1, 6+) ends three straight downward trends; "Mega 97.7" was a combined -1.4 since Junewltw-logo-january-2015 (6.0 – 5.6 – 5.3 – 4.6, 6+). Even though WABC (1.4, +.1, 6+) curtails six successive down or flat trends (1.8 – 1.7 – 1.5 – 1.4 – 1.4 – 1.4 – 1.3, 6+), the Cumulus Media talker actually backslides from #21 to #22. On top in March, April, May and June before falling to #2 in July, iHeartMedia adult contemporary WLTW "106.7 Lite-FM" makes it three straight months (back) at #1. In addition, "Lite-FM" is up for the third successive time (6.0 – 6.1 – 6.5 – 6.7, 6+), with 6.7 its highest 6+-share since March (also 6.7). A one-tenth increase in August enabled "Lite-FM" to halt four successive sweeps without an increase resulting in a cumulative loss of seven-tenths (6.7 – 6.5 – 6.4 – 6.4 – 6.0, 6+). Rhythmic CHR sibling WKTU "103.5 The Beat of New York," which had registered five straight increases (3.3 – 3.5 – 4.1 – 4.4 – 4.7 – 4.8, 6+) for a net +1.5, erodes by nine-tenths to 3.9 (6+) to slip from fifth to eighth. In the market's mainstream CHR battle, WKTU cluster-mate WHTZ "Z-100" (steady at #2) gains three-tenths to 5.7, its strongest 6+-stat since June 2015 (also 5.7), while CBS Radio-owned WBMP "Amp" drops three-tenths to 2.8 (6+) and slides from #12 to #14. With a -.2 in August, "Z-100" ended five straight monthlies without a decrease for a combined +.8 (4.7 – 5.3 – 5.4 – 5.4 – 5.5 – 5.5, 6+). As CBS Radio all-news WINS gains three-tenths (4.0 – 4.3, eighth to seventh, 6+), co-owned similarly formatted WCBS-AM is off by two-tenths (3.2 – 3.0, #11 to #12, 6+). The 3.2 in September represented the strongest 6+-performance for WCBS-AM since March 2015 (also 3.2, 6+). Tied at #15 are hot AC rivals (CBS Radio-owned) WNEW-FM "Fresh 102.7" (2.8 – 2.7, -.1, steady at #15, 6+) and Cumulus Media's WPLJ (2.5 – 2.7, +.2, up from #16, 6+); the two were also tied in July (at #13). This is the 22nd successive sweep that WPLJ has recorded a 6+-share between 2.0 – 2.9 (6+).
2) Los Angeles – Up a combined six-tenths in consecutive ratings periods (4.1 – 4.3 – 4.7, 6+), CBS Radio smooth AC KTWV "The ktwvWave" jumps from fifth to second. "The Wave" registered a 4.7 (6+) in May and June as well. Following six consecutive times without an increase for a cumulative -.9 (3.5 – 3.2 – 3.0 – 2.9 – 2.7 – 2.7 – 2.6, 6+), iHeartMedia talker KFI "AM 640" notches a one-half share improvement to 3.1 and progresses from #16 to #11. Despite being down by two-tenths each in back-to-back sweeps (5.8 – 5.6 – 5.4,kfi 6+), adult contemporary cluster-mate KOST "Coast 103.5" is the market's pacesetter for the twelfth successive ratings period; "Coast" was a combined +.5 in July and August (5.3 – 5.4 – 5.8, 6+). Even though KKGO has its fifth consecutive up or flat trend (2.1 – 2.3 – 2.4 – 2.4 – 2.7 – 2.7, 6+), Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters' "Go Country 105" must settle for a #14 to #15 move. Following a +.4 in September, CBS Radio mainstream CHR KAMP "Amp" regresses by one-half share (3.1 – 3.5 – 3.0, 6+) and exits the top ten (#8 to #12). "Amp" was up in June and July for a cumulative +.7 before surrendering the entire seven-tenths in August; it recorded a 3.0 (6+) in February and March. Included in a three-way tie at #3 is its format rival – iHeartMedia's KIIS "Kiss-FM" (second in September) – which is off by four-tenths to 4.5, its weakest 6+-showing since 4.4 in the "Holiday" 2015 report. Also at #3 are CBS Radio classic hits-oldies KRTH "K-Earth 101" (-.4, 6+) and Univision Radio Spanish contemporary KLVE "K-Love 107.5," which displays its fourth straight gain for a net +.9 (3.6 – 3.9 – 4.0 – 4.2 – 4.5, 6+). "K-Earth 101" had been up or flat the past three monthlies (4.5 – 4.8 – 4.9 – 4.9, 6+). Following three consecutive sweeps without a decrease (2.3 – 2.6 – 2.6 – 2.7, 6+), Entercom classic rock KSWD "The Sound" drops one-tenth to 2.6 and falls back from #14 to #16 (6+). Sliding from a three-way tie at #18 to #19, CBS Radio alternative KROQ is down or flat for the sixth successive sweep (3.1 – 2.9 – 2.9 – 2.4 – 2.3 – 2.3 – 2.2, 6+) for a combined -.9. Meanwhile, iHeartMedia's similarly programmed KYSR-FM "Alt 98.7" is up one-tenth (3.1 – 3.2, 6+) and is back in the top ten (#11 to #10). Dating back to April, the (6+) trend for CBS Radio all-news KNX (#13 to #12) is 3.1 – 3.2 – 3.1 – 2.9 – 3.1 – 2.9 – 3.0. Four spoken-word stations are in a logjam at #32: Salem Media Group talker KRLA (.8 – .8 – .8, 6+); Cumulus Media talk KABC (.6 – .7 – .8, 6+); ESPN Radio's KSPN (.7 – .6 – .8, 6+); and iHeartMedia talker KEIB (.6 – .6 – .8, 6+). KSPN and KSWD are the AM and FM flagships (respectively) for the NFL's newly relocated (Los Angeles to St. Louis back to Los Angeles) Los Angeles Rams.
3) Chicago – Owing to a robust +.8 (6.0 – 6.8, 6+), CBS Radio all-news WBBM-AM takes sole possession of first-place. The wbbm-amChicago Bears flagship was tied for the lead in September with iHeartMedia urban AC WVAZ "V-103," which is off two-tenths and slips to the runner-up slot (6.0 – 5.8, 6+). WBBM-AM had been on top from January through May and segued to second in June. Prior to recording a +.4 in August, "V-103" was down or flat the previous three sweeps (6.1 – 6.1 – 6.1 – 5.6, 6+). Within 3.6 – 3.9 range (6+) the past five survey periods Tribune Media Company talker WGN gainswgn-am six-tenths to 4.3, matching what it registered in April as it marches from eighth to fifth. Over and above bumping up from a three-way tie at #16 to a three-way logjam at #14, WRME "MeTV 87.7" is up or flat for the sixth straight time (1.8 – 1.8 – 1.8 – 1.8 – 2.0 – 2.3 – 2.4, 6+). Also at #14 is Hubbard Broadcasting adult contemporary WSHE (up from #15 in September), which is within 2.0 – 2.9 range (6+) for the 30th straight monthly (2.5 – 2.4, -.1, 6+). The other station tied at #14 (up from #16) is CBS Radio classic hits-oldies WJMK "K-Hits 104.3", posting a +.1 to 2.4 (6+), thus applying the brakes to eight consecutive ratings periods without an increase for a cumulative loss of one full-share (3.3 – 3.2 – 3.2 – 3.2 – 3.1 – 2.9 – 2.8 – 2.6 – 2.3, 6+). Steady at #26, Spanish Broadcasting System regional Mexican WLEY "La Ley 107.9" picks up one-tenth to 1.3 (6+) to end seven successive downward trending sweeps  (2.2 – 1.9 – 1.7 – 1.6 – 1.5 – 1.4 – 1.3 – 1.2, 6+). Up three-tenths to 2.9 (6+), Univision Radio's similarly programmed WOJO (#14 to #12) had been without an increase the past six monthlies (3.3 – 3.1 – 3.1 – 2.8 – 2.7 – 2.7 – 2.6, 6+). Albeit down by three-tenths in back-to-back survey periods (5.5 – 5.2 – 4.9 6+), Hubbard Broadcasting hot AC WTMX "101.9 The Mix" nonetheless finishes in third-place for the seventh straight time. Meanwhile, iHeartMedia's similarly programmed WLIT "My-FM" (unchanged at #11, 6+) is without an increase for the ninth successive month. "My-FM" has eroded by nearly 11 shares in that stretch (13.9 – 4.7 – 4.5 – 4.0 – 3.9 – 3.9 – 3.7 – 3.6 – 3.5 – 3.2 – 3.1, 6+). After nine consecutive ratings periods of being either up or flat for a combined gain of one full-share (1.7 – 1.8 – 1.8 – 1.8 – 1.8 – 2.0 – 2.3 – 2.4 – 2.5 – 2.7, 6+), co-owned WEBG falters by one-half share as "Big 95.5 Chicago's New Country" spirals from #13 to #18. Format foe – CBS Radio's WUSN – is off for the third straight time (3.0 – 2.9 – 2.8 – 2.5, 6+) and appears at #13; "US-99.5" had been at #12 the past three sweeps. In addition to WEBG, its urban contemporary sibling WGCI-FM also declines by one-half share (3.0 – 2.5, sixth to eighth, 6+). Four-tenths of a share is the difference between ranker #13 and ranker #24 (6+).
4) San Francisco – Spoken-word stations hold the top three spots in the Bay Area for the eighth successive sweep. Although knbrunchanged at #3, Cumulus Media's KNBR – the flagship of both MLB's Giants and the NFL's 49ers – trots out a +.8, erasing September's -.8. Moreover, the gain of eight-tenths halts four successive declines for "The Sports Leader" which resulted in a cumulative loss of nearly two full-shares (6.8 – 6.7 – 6.2 – 5.7 – 4.9, 6+). Prior to slipping to third in September, KNBR had been #1 since April. Gaining one-half share to 6.1 – its best 6+-share since February's 6.2 – is CBSkmvq-october-2016 Radio all-news KCBS-AM (advancing from second to first, 6+), which was trending 5.5 – 5.4 – 5.4 – 5.5 – 5.4 – 5.6 (6+). Displaced from the top spot and moving to the runner-up position is public KQED, which is without a loss for the fifth straight time (4.8 – 4.9 – 5.3 – 5.7 – 5.9 – 5.9, 6+) and enjoys its highest 6+-stat since December 2012's 5.0. Climbing from fifth to fourth, CBS Radio CHR KMVQ "Now 99.7 New Hit Music" is up or flat for the sixth successive sweep (3.0 – 3.0 – 3.5 – 3.8 – 3.8 – 4.0 – 4.2, 6+) for a combined gain of +1.2. In addition to KCBS-AM, iHeartMedia adult contemporary KISQ "98.1 – The Breeze Relaxing Favorites at Work" also notches a one-half share increase (3.2 – 3.7, 6+). Not only does "The Breeze" shake off September's -.8, it vaults from #11 to #6. An August gain of one-half share enabled KISQ to reach the four-share level. A gain of one-tenth to 1.6 (6+) puts an end to five straight sweeps without an increase for CBS Radio alternative KITS "Live 105" (2.2 – 1.9 – 1.9 – 1.8 – 1.8 – 1.5, 6+), which inches up from #22 to #21. With either a 3.8 (6+) or 3.9 (6+) over the course of the previous seven sweeps, iHeartMedia hot AC KIOI dialed up a +.5 in September, but "Star 101.3" forfeits all of it plus one-tenth (3.8 – 4.3 – 3.7, -.6, 6+) dropping from fourth to sixth.
5) Dallas – Although flat at #7, CBS Radio's KRLD-FM "105.3 The Fan" registers its eighth straight gain for a combined +1.9 (1.8 krld-fm– 2.0 – 2.2 – 2.5 – 2.9 – 3.3 – 3.4 – 3.6 – 3.7, 6+); the flagship of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys has its best 6+-performance since last October's 4.0. Without a decrease for the fifth straight time (3.7 – 3.7 – 3.8 – 3.8 – 4.0 – 4.3 – 4.3, 6+), iHeartMedia hot AC KDMX "Now 102.9" remains at #5, while format rival – CBS Radio-owned KVIL (unchanged at #13) – has ankdmx up/down pattern since May of 2.6 – 3.1 – 2.9 – 3.1 – 2.8 – 3.1 (6+). On the heels of a -.8 to 3.8, its lowest 6+-figure since March 2015 (also 3.8), iHeartMedia classic rocker KZPS "Lone Star 92.5" bounces back with a gain of one-half share to 4.3 (6+), climbing from sixth to fifth. This marks the third straight month that four-tenths of a share separates the top three finishers. In a bit of an unusual occurrence, an October first-place tie does not involve September's leader. Sharing top honors are KZPS' CHR sibling KHKS "Kiss-FM" (5.4 – 5.8, +.4, third to first, 6+) and CBS Radio classic hits-oldies KLUV (5.7 – 5.8, +.1, second to first, 6+). They succeed Cumulus Media country outlet KPLX "The Wolf" (5.4, -.4, 6+), which slips to third. Prior to its -.4 in October, "The Wolf" had gone without a decrease the previous seven sweeps (4.3 – 4.4 – 4.7 – 4.7 – 4.7 – 5.1 – 5.7 – 5.8, 6+) and was a cumulative +1.5 since February. September was the first time since May 2014 (when it registered a 6.6, 6+) that "The Wolf" occupied the top spot. Meanwhile, after three successive months at 3.5 (6+), co-owned and similarly programmed KSCS "New Country 96.3" posts its fourth straight 3.3 (6+), but drops from a ninth-place tie to a tenth-place tie. Following four consecutive up or flat ratings periods (2.0 – 2.1 – 2.1 – 2.4 – 2.4, 6+), CBS Radio news-talk hybrid KRLD-AM drops two-tenths to 2.2 (6+), but carries on at #20. Also ending its streak of four successive sweeps without a decrease (1.2 – 1.3 – 1.7 – 2.0 – 2.1, 6+) is First Dallas Media contemporary Christian KCBI (1.8, -.3, #21 to #23, 6+).
6) Houston – Over and above being #1 for the third successive sweep, Univision Radio regional Mexican KLTN boasts the kodalargest (6+) September 2016 – October 2016 increase (6.7 – 8.0, +1.3, 6+) of any station in the 12 PPM-markets whose data was released on Monday. Moreover, this is the most potent 6+-share in its PPM history. A -.3 in September by KLTN curtailed five successive gains that yielded a combined increase of more than two full-shares (4.9 – 5.4 – 6.3 – 6.4 – 6.9 – 7.0, 6+). Without an increase the past fiveksbj sweeps for a -1.2 (7.7 – 7.4 – 7.4 – 7.0 – 6.9 – 6.5, 6+), iHeartMedia adult contemporary KODA picks up one-tenth to 6.6 and advances from third to second; "Sunny 99.1" ranked first in 23 consecutive ratings periods before dipping to second in August. Up for the third straight time for a combined +1.3 (.9 – 1.0 – 1.4 – 2.2, 6+), CBS Radio/Houston Texans' flagship KILT-AM "Sports Radio 610" (#21) has its best 6+-performance in exactly one year (2.4, October 2015). Co-owned country KILT-FM "100.3 The Bull" (the Texans' FM flagship) posts a +.3 to 3.4 (#14 to #13, 6+), ending three straight declines that produced a -.9 (4.0 – 3.6 – 3.3 – 3.1, 6+). Noncommercial contemporary Christian KSBJ "God Listens" posts a +.7 (4.2 – 4.9, 6+) to jump from ninth to fifth; a +.4 in September stopped four straight decreases that produced a combined -1.8 since April (5.6 – 5.1 – 4.8 – 4.4 – 3.8, 6+). Having posted a 3.6 (6+) in May, July, and August, CBS Radio Spanish contemporary KLOL "Mega 101" exploded with a +.9 to 4.5 (6+) in September but surrenders six-tenths in October, dropping out of the top ten (#7 to #11); 4.5 is its strongest-ever (6+) PPM stat. Among those off by one-half share are Cox Media Group classic hits-oldies KGLK "Houston's Eagle" (second to third, 6+) and country sibling KKBQ "The New 93-Q" (fifth to seventh, 6+). This is the lowest 6+-share for "Eagle" since April (also 6.1) and the eighth consecutive time "Eagle" is in 6.1 – 6.6 range (6.6 – 6.1 – 6.3 – 6.3 – 6.4 – 6.2 – 6.6 – 6.1, 6+). Down for the third straight time for a combined -1.7 (5.9 – 5.2 – 4.7 – 4.2, 6+), "The New Q" had been at #5 the past four sweeps. Also sputtering by one-half share each are iHeartMedia alternative KTBZ "94.5 The Buzz" (4.0, seventh to eighth, 6+) and Univision Radio's KAMA "Latino Mix 104.9" (2.5, #15 to #19, 6+).
7) Philadelphia – The market's (6+) sports share balloons by +1.8 as CBS Radio/Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia wipEagles flagship WIP-FM displays a full-share increase and Greater Media's WPEN-FM "97.5 The Fanatic" gains eight tenths (2.5, #18 to #17). This is the third straight improvement for WIP-FM netting a +1.3 (3.7 – 3.8 – 4.0 – 5.0, 6+) as it progresses from tenth to sixth. Following seven straight monthlies without an increase which resulted in a more than 50% loss of its 6+-sharewpen-fm (3.1 – 3.1 – 2.8 – 2.8 – 2.7 – 2.3 – 1.8 – 1.5, 6+), "The Fanatic" added two-tenths in September. The combination of a two-tenths increase for Jerry Lee Radio adult contemporary WBEB "More FM" (7.4 – 7.6, 6+) and a two-tenths decline by CBS Radio classic hits-oldies WOGL "Philadelphia's Greatest Hits" (6.9 – 6.7, 6+) creates some breathing room for "More FM," which repeats at #1 while WOGL does the same at #2. Up six-tenths in September, which halted three successive downward moves for a combined loss of one full-share (7.8 – 7.4 – 6.9 – 6.8, 6+), "More FM" occupied the market's top spot for 12 consecutive survey periods (August 2015 through June 2016). Improving by four-tenths to 1.6 (6+), WRTI (#21 to #19) ends eight successive sweeps without an increase (2.8 – 2.5 – 2.5 – 1.8 – 1.7 – 1.6 – 1.4 – 1.2 -1.2, 6+); the Temple University classical outlet was a combined -1.6 since January. Meanwhile, iHeartMedia urban contemporary WUSL is down or flat for the third successive time (4.9 – 4.9 – 4.7 – 4.1, 6+) with "Power 99" drifting from seventh to tenth.
8) Atlanta – Down by one-half share in September, WSB-AM more than makes up for it by boasting a +1.2 (9.4 – 8.9 – 10.1, 6+) wsb-amas the Cox Media Group talker holds the top spot for the ninth straight month. On top of that, this marks the first time in its PPM-history that WSB-AM breaks into double-digits (6+). Stuck on 4.2 (6+) in July and August, Cumulus Media CHR WWWQ sputtered by eight-tenths in September only to come roaring back with a +.9 in October (4.2 – 3.4 – 4.3, 6+) as "Q-100 All the Hits" cracks the top ten (#15 to #8). In the process, it leapfrogs formatwwwq rival – iHeartMedia-owned WWPR "Power 96.1" – which declines by four-tenths in back-to-back sweeps (4.7 – 4.3 – 3.9, 6+) but stays at #10. It has been a seesaw situation lately for CBS Radio sports outlet/Atlanta Falcons flagship WZGC, which hung out a +.6 in August; was -.5 in September; and is now +.7; "92.9 The Game" is unchanged at #16. It is another case of "what a difference one month makes," as this time last month, WKHX had bragging rights for heftiest (6+) August 2016 – September 2016 increase among all stations in the 12 PPM-markets whose data was released that particular Monday (3.9 – 5.2, +1.3, 6+). Now though, the Cumulus Media country property has the dubious distinction of registering the largest (6+) September 2016 – October 2016 decrease among all stations in the 12 PPM-markets whose data was released yesterday (5.2 – 3.8, -1.4, 6+) with "Kicks 101.5" plummeting out of the top ten (#5 to #11). September's 5.2 was its most potent 6+-share since April 2011 (5.2 as well). Its challenger – iHeartMedia's WUBL "94.9 The Bull Atlanta's New Country Leader" – falters by four-tenths (4.1 – 3.7, 6+) and slides from #11 to #13. Dropping from third to fourth, Cox Media Group urban AC WALR "Kiss 104.1" regresses by one-half share after September's -.6 (6.2 – 5.6 – 5.1, 6+). A quartet of talk outlets is clumped together including Georgia State University-owned WRAS (.6, -.2, #26); CBS Radio's WAOK (.4, flat, #27); iHeartMedia's WGST (.4, flat #27); and Salem Media Group's WGKA (.2, flat, #29).
9) Long Island – Good news for football flagships here as CBS Radio/New York Giants key station WFAN-FM "The Fan" wfanbetters its September numbers by a whopping +1.2 (4.3 – 5.5, fifth to second, 6+), while New York Jets flagship WEPN-FM "ESPN New York 98.7″ improves by one-half share (1.3, #23, 6+). Emmis-owned/ESPN-operated "ESPN New York 98.7" had been without an increase the past four sweeps (1.2 – 1.0 -.9 – .8 – .8, 6+). In addition to WEPN-FM, Cumulus Media talker WABC is also upwalk-fm by one-half share to 2.8 (#19 to #15, 6+). The increase applies the brakes to WABC's seven consecutive down or flat trends (3.5 – 3.4 – 3.0 – 3.0 – 2.7 – 2.6 – 2.6 – 2.3, 6+) that produced a combined -1.2. Frozen on 3.5 (6+) in April, May, and June, iHeartMedia talker WOR dropped to 3.3 in July; rebounded with a one-half share increase in August; and recaptures the eight-tenths it lost in September (3.8 – 3.0 – 3.8, 6+) as the New York Mets flagship zooms from #15 into the top ten (#9). Chalking up gains of six-tenths each are Connoisseur Media hot AC WALK-FM (5.2, fourth to third, 6+) and CBS Radio all-news WCBS-AM (seventh to fourth, 6+). WALK-FM had been without an increase the past four sweeps (5.8 – 5.2 – 4.8 – 4.6 – 4.6, 6+) for a combined -1.2. This is the third straight gain for WCBS-AM (3.5 – 3.6 – 4.0 – 4.6, 6+) and best 6+-stat in Long Island since February (also 4.6). The stream of Fordham University's triple A WFUV-FM, which had a 1.1 (6+) in August but disappeared from print in September, returns in October with a 1.1 (#27, 6+). Notwithstanding it is down for the third straight time (6.7 – 6.4 – 6.2 – 6.0  (6+), iHeartMedia CHR WHTZ "Z-100" is on top in Long Island for the ninth successive sweep. A -.3 in August erased four straight sweeps where "Z-100" was up or flat (5.8 – 5.8 – 5.9 – 6.1 – 6.7, 6+). Eroding by -1.1(3.5 – 2.4, 6+), rhythmic CHR sibling WKTU freefalls from #12 to #17. After being up or flat the past six times for a +1.2 (2.2 – 2.2 – 2.4 – 2.5 – 2.6 – 2.8 – 3.4, 6+), CBS Radio CHR WBMP "Amp" coughs up one full-share to 2.4 (#13 to #17, 6+). Before reaching 3.4 in September, "Amp" had been in 2.0 – 2.9 territory (6+) the previous 38 ratings periods. Locked on 4.8 (6+) in August and September, Connoisseur Media classic hits-oldies WBZO falters by eight-tenths to 4.0, drifting from a second-place tie to a seventh-place tie. This is the 22nd straight sweep that Emmis rhythmic CHR WQHT "Hot 97" is in 2.0 – 2.9 range (2.3 – 2.2, -.1, #19 to #20, 6+).
10) Riverside – In 3.2 – 3.9 territory (6+) the past five sweeps (3.9 – 3.5 – 3.2 – 3.4 – 3.2, 6+), CBS Radio country outlet KFRG "K-kfrgFrog" busts out a +.9 to 4.1, its best 6+-showing since April's 4.2. Co-owned KXFG, meanwhile, has a .1 for the eighth consecutive time and it again finishes at #21. Up or flat for the sixth straight time for a net gain of +2.2 (4.9 – 4.9 – 5.6 – 6.5 – 6.8 – 6.9 – 7.1, 6+), Anaheim Broadcasting classic hits-oldies KOLA is in thekola runner-up slot for the fourth consecutive ratings period.
