Museum Radio Station May Go Off The Air

Brent Davis recently found out that the station he runs may soon have to shut down. Davis is the manager for KMRE, the American Museum of Radio and Electricity's radio station. It's a non-profit that takes about $15,000 per year to run. And up until recently all of that money was coming from museum president and CEO John Jenkins. Jenkins had been selling items from his collection to cover the costs and now he wants to the station to be self-sufficient.

You can listen live to KMRE at http://www.amre.us./There is also a very cool video on the page in which you can see some very classic looking radio's, not an iphone or HD Radio in the place. Boy have times changes. To make a donation to KMRE email Brent Davis at brent@amre.us or call the museum at 360-738-3886.
