The Federal Communications Commission routinely updates the public on just how many radio stations are floating around the radio dial. The latest report, released yesterday, shows a total of 15,029 stations as of the end of March. There are 4,762 AM stations, 6,555 Commercial FM stations and 3,712 Educational FM stations. Pirate stations are obviously not counted.
