A little more than 6 months after a corporate position was created for Hanlon by Townsquare he has abruptly resigned from the company. Hanlon was hired back in October as the Senior Vice President for sales. Before joining Townsquare Hanlon had served as President of the 85-station Midwest Region of Citadel Broadcasting. He left for Townsquare around the time Cumulus was closing on the purchase of Citadel. No reason was given for Hanlon's departure and it's unclear if a replacement will be hired by Townsquare to fill the position.
