The Commission is looking for more comments on whether the prohibition on newspaper/radio combinations should be lifted. "Research shows that most radio stations do not produce significant amounts of local news and that most consumers do not rely on radio stations as their primary source of local news." The rule was put in place mainly to prevent Newspaper/TV cross-ownership.
