Emmis Ends Bid To Go Private 

Saying financial backer Alden Global Capital "refuses to honor the commitment they made," Emmis Communications has ended its attempt to go private by way of a buyout by JS Acquisition, formed by Emmis Chairman/CEO Jeff Smulyan. Emmis said, "Emmis, JS Acquisition, and Jeff Smulyan will explore various legal remedies related to damages caused by Alden's actions." More soon at www.radioink.com.
