Commissioner Baker: No Gov't 'Bailout' For Media

In comments to the Capitol Hill Media Summit on Wednesday, FCC Commissioner Meredith Attwell Baker said the FCC and FTC are studying the future of media and journalism but that a "costly government-funded bailout," as suggested by some, was the wrong way to go. Rather, the First Amendment must be preserved, and the Constitution will guide the debate.
