Emmis: Another No Decision

Emmis Communications postpones a shareholders' meeting that had been set for Thursday evening to vote on an exchange of stock that is key to Chairman/CEO Jeff Smulyan's bid to take the company private, the Indianapolis Business Journal reports. Shareholders are set to meet again Friday morning to try again to decide the fate of the many-times-delayed buyout deal. The meeting postponed tonight would have been the sixth attempt at a shareholder vote.

Clear channel radio today flipped Rhythmic KIKI-FM/Honolulu to a "Generation X Rhythmic" format with Hawaiian influences as "93.3 Jamz." Ryan Sean is the PD. KIKI changes calls to KHJZ and the "Hot 93.9" programming moves to the HD2 subchannel.
