Hispanic Consumers Are Reshaping Media & Business

1-27-14

The Hispanic population growth in the U.S. is unprecedented, and these consumers' buying decisions and media choices are quickly reshaping both the consumer and the media landscape. At the Hispanic Radio Conference, March 10-11 in San Diego, you'll have the opportunity to hear from Andy Unanue, former chief operating officer of Goya foods (America's largest Hispanic food company) and managing partner of AUA Private Equity.

As Goya's COO, Unanue managed the daily operations of the company's U.S. business, and was involved in strategic planning, new product development, advertising, media, and community relations. He designed the strategy that helped expand Goya from primarily Hispanic homes to a household name nationwide.

At the Hispanic Radio Conference, Unanue will share his unique insights and perspectives on America's fastest-growing consumer markets and the unique ways these consumers use media. He'll also talk about the reasons behind the establishment of AUA, which provides a pathway for exceptional investment opportunities in consumer products and in media.

The future of Hispanic radio and media has never been more promising. Don't miss this opportunity to hear Unanue's expert viewpoints and predictions on the marketplace for 2014 and beyond.
Andy Unanue is a managing partner of AUA Private Equity and a member of AUA's Investment Committee. Before founding the firm, he established AU & Associates LLC, and prior to that, he held various positions with Goya Foods, including serving as COO from 1999-2004. He is the chairman of the board of Associated Foods Holdings, and serves on the boards of various organizations, including KABR Real Estate Partners and Trufoods LLC. He is a founding board member of the New America Alliance and on the board of the National Association of Investment Companies, as well as several other not-for-profit organizations. Unanue is also a recipient of the Hispanic MBAs' Entrepreneurship Achievement Award and the Tonio Burgos Business Award, and has been named Businessman of the Year by the Federation of Hispanic Chambers and Hispanic magazine. He's also spoken about Goya's broad market strategy at Harvard University's Corporate Partners Seminar. Earlier in his career, Unanue was an operating executive of Palladium Equity Partners.
