Earlier this year, Garrison Keillor told the AARP Bulletin he was leaving "A Prairie Home Companion" in 2013. That may have been a bit premature, however. The Star Tribune in Minnesota reported that Keillor told the Sioux City Journal he contemplated quitting the show, "And then it panicked me ... which got me to rethinking the whole brilliant idea. The show is going well. I love doing it. Why quit?"
Keillor's spokesman David O'Neill confirmed the report. "He doesn't have any specific plans to retire," O'Neill said Saturday. "He's still having a lot of fun doing the show." Keillor will be 70 this year. He's heard on 590 stations and has 4 million listeners.
