Contemporary music radio programmers treat the word "innovation" in one of two ways: 1.) As a dirty word spoken only by unsophisticated potty-mouths who simply do not understand the concept. Or, 2.) Something they think they are already practicing. (cue: rolling eyes and heavy sighs sfx.)

excellent comments from a long time innovator. my point(s) exactly that radio's money comes from customer needs, not it's mass listening audience. Every radio station should be multicasting multiple music formats. AND every radio station should be creating messages that are NOT used over the air. i.e. click to audio and image 'non-advertising' messages
