Avoid New Media Wipeout

Avoid New Media Wipeout
Arianna Huffington is set to keynote Radio Ink's Forecast, with a talk on "Innovation, Archimedes, and Not Having Your Head Turned by Every New Hottie That Passes By."
Huffington is co-founder and editor-in-chief of the hugely successful Huffington Post news and commentary website, and she'll be talking to the Forecast crowd about the present "era of immediate obsolescence."
Innovation is coming along so rapidly, by the time you course-correct, you're once again off course. In this kind of rapidly changing media ecosystem, it's easy to always be looking for the next hot thing, the next big wave to ride to success.
But, paradoxically, this can be the quickest way to get crushed under that wave. Huffington will present her take on how to avoid this kind of new-media wipeout.

Huffington is the author of 13 books, including most recently Third World America and Fanatics and Fools: The Game Plan for Winning Back America. She launched the Huffington Post in 2005, and it quickly became one of the Web's most-read and most-cited destinations. Huffington is also the co-host of public radio's Left, Right & Center, and a sought-after political commentator who has guested on such shows as Charlie Rose, Hardball, Good Morning America, Today, and The O'Reilly Factor. In 2006, she was named to Time magazine's "Time 100" list of the world's 100 most influential people. In addition, Forbes has named her as one of the "100 Most Powerful Women" on its annual list.

The Forecast tradition of powerful keynotes continues, this year also including:

Bob Pittman, Clear Channel Communications Chairman/Media & Entertainment Platforms

Andrew
Ross Sorkin, chief mergers and acquisitions reporter for the New York Times and host of United Stations Radio Networks' "Business Brief With Andrew Ross Sorkin."

Dave
Ramsey, entrepreneur and nationally syndicated radio personality.
