Radio Ink is saddened to report that Les Goldberg, former president and COO of Interep, has passed away. Goldberg worked at and with Interep for nearly 40 years, beginning his Interep career with a sales job at McGavren Guild in 1968. He served as president and COO from 1986-1995.

Brannigan Heads Journal Country Programming

Beverlee Brannigan is promoted to the newly created post of director of Country programming for Journal Broadcast Group. She adds those duties to her current role as OM/PD for KFDI/Wichita.

Hot 97 Personality Suspended Over On-Air Comment

DJ Cipha Sounds of Emmis' Rhythmic WQHT (Hot 97)/New York has been suspended indefinitely over an offensive remark he made about Haitians. He will also, Emmis said, undertake sensitivity training.
