(DASH) More Praise For Our Visit To Detroit

Alan Cross is a very popular Canadian personality, music expert, and blogger. He attended the Radio Ink/Jacobs Media DASH Conference in Detroit last week and summarized his thoughts in THIS BLOG. North of the border, Cross is very influential with more than 38,000 Twitter followers. Cross says there were some very smart people at DASH and in his blog he highlights the top 10 things he learned.

"Automakers Get HD Complaints"

"iBiquity Senior Vice President Joe D’Angelo ticked off several: customers say the HD often echoes as if two signals are being received slightly out of time, or the audio sounds as if the station is skipping. Other complaints include the radio doesn’t pick up HD stations, ever. Or, the HD goes in and out."

Alan is no slouch when it comes to insights on contemporary music-radio, even though he has to type with his mittens on. (Canadian, eh?).

As more and more evidence from more and more sources piles up that even greater pressures will be mustered and thrown against music-radio, the industry continues to refuse to "Up" its game.

Rome may not be burning, but the torches and fuel jars have been strategically placed.
